Do I have to be there when MJ arrives?
YES! Please be at your barn, or arrange for a horse savvy surrogate to be present. It is expected that you hold your horse during the session, and if necessary, correct them if the need arises. You (or they) should be there, with your horse brought in if they are turned out, dried off, and brushed out. It is very difficult for MJ to work on a dirty, muddy, wet horse who’s out in a field.
How long does a session typically take?
Every horse is different, and session times can vary. Please allow approximately an hour and a half, to two hours for each session.
Can I ride after MJ has done a session on my horse?
It is unadvised to ride or work your horse on days when they have had work done. Please give your horse 24 hours after the 3rd and 5th sessions before you work them, and for that first day back, please only work them 1/2 their usual workload.
So, it would be fine to ride the day of therapy, before sessions one and four, and then again a full 24 hours after sessions 3 and 5, but only half their normal work load for that day. I hope that makes sense. This will be on a printed instructions page that you’ll receive from MJ as well.
My horse feels weird after you worked on them! Is that normal?
Your horse has been creating compensation holdings in their fascia for a lifetime. Whether from injuries they’ve healed from last week or years ago, or normal life events even going back to the womb, a horse’s fascia will have created patterns of compensations that have become permanent in their bodies. Often, when we remove those holding patterns, we removed the patterns that they were relying on to keep them ‘sound’ they have to figure out how to move properly.
Think of having a limp. Over time, your body develops patterns based on the physical compensation of a limp. You’re often left with a bit of a ‘hitch in your giddy-up’ long after your initial injury has healed! Horses are no different. Take that hitch away, and they need to rebalance! The good news is, by addressing these patterns, your horse will remodel their bodies balanced in gravity! Front to back, and side to side!
After a series, you might consider doing exercises such as working hills, flat work, and caveletti to help strengthen your horse’s body.
In rare cases, the horse has a hidden injury that they had compensated for. When the holding patterns are released, the injury may become quite obvious. It is recommended that you call in a vet if such an event should occur. One of the benefits of fascia integration therapy is, if there is a latent injury that needs to be addressed by your veterinarian , you will know!

Please be advised that if there is a service charge for transactions, the customer is responsible for the additional fee.
Can I pay session by session:
YES! Local clients can now book individual QHE Series 5 sessions! It is advised not to let more than 2 weeks go between sessions.
Unfortunately this is not an option for clients further than 35 miles out. Because this is a series spanning multiple sessions, the first three back to back to back, payment must be made upfront to reserve the time in MJ’s very tight schedule to ensure that your horse’s series is done in the correct time frame to be most effective. As in life, so it is with fascia integration therapy, timing is everything. Because she travels to help horses all over the world, it’s important to block that time out before the series begins. MJ can not reserve time for your horse until the series is paid in full.
Does MJ offer discounts on the QHE series?
Sometimes she does run specials, but MJ does offer a finder’s fee for every paid in full series, either paid upfront, or individual sessions*, I will pay you $100 per client you bring me!
*If client opts for individual sessions, payment will be made upon completion of the 5th session.
My horse is running a fever and has a runny nose. Will MJ still work on my horse?
If your horse is exhibiting signs of illness, please call your vet first, and then MJ, in that order. We will reschedule for when your horse is healthy again! this work is contraindicated in horses suffering acute illness, and the risk of making your horse worse, or spreading infection to MJ’s other clients is too great.
Can I split the farm call fee with MJ’s other clients in my area?
YES! This can save you a LOT of money! In fact, MJ encourages clients to split farm call fees, especially when seeing clients that require a flight/rental car/and lodging accommodations for MJ to be able to work on your horses. She’s not looking to make a profit in travelling to you, but she also can not be expected to pay out of pocket to get there. Clients are responsible for the cost of travel and accommodations. Please be advised, for flights over 2.5 hours duration, MJ requires business class tickets.
Can MJ work on my zebra?
Yes! I will integrate the fascia of any large animal; equid, bovine, or camelid! I do insist on coordinating with a vet for wild animals, and zebras MUST be heavily sedated before I will begin working on them. Yes, I’m serious.
